Apple Health · Compatibility

Check which Apple Health data reaches SlopeReady.

SlopeReady reads data from Apple Health on your iPhone. The category you need must be present there, and you must grant read access. Your watch or app brand does not create compatibility on its own. SlopeReady has no direct account connections to Garmin, COROS, Strava, Oura, or WHOOP.

Check your data path

Data path

Three checks decide what works

Check the path in this order. If a step fails, later data will be incomplete.

  1. Does the source write the value?

The watch or app must pass the workout or the individual category to Apple Health.

  2. Is the value in Apple Health?

Open the relevant category and check “Data Sources & Access” to see which app or device supplied it.

  3. Can SlopeReady read the category?

You grant read access category by category. Without permission or a recorded value, the field stays empty in SlopeReady.

Data coverage

What SlopeReady can do with each data group

A visible workout does not prove that sleep, HRV, route data, or every measurement also transferred. Check the data against the result you want.

Present in Apple Health Possible in SlopeReady Check first
A workout record with duration and available measurements Review the recorded session and calculate training load context when history and data coverage are sufficient. The workout itself and expected fields, such as duration or heart rate, are present.
Sleep, HRV, and resting heart rate Place readiness and recovery in context with confidence indicators and notices of missing data. Each category is present and permitted on its own. A sleep value does not prove that HRV is available.
Route profile, segments, pace, heart rate, or running technique data Answer a specific Coach question about this workout in more detail. The recorder transferred the needed fields and you explicitly ask for their review.
Activity, active energy, distance, VO₂ max, or permitted body data Add to the general training context. This specific category is present in Apple Health and permitted for SlopeReady.

Two common gaps

Sleep without HRV

The source writes sleep but not HRV. SlopeReady can take sleep into account, while HRV remains marked as missing.

Activity without a workout

The source writes daily activity or energy but no individual workout record. SlopeReady then lacks the session it could review separately.

On iPhone

Check the data path on your iPhone

Start in Apple Health instead of a brand list.

  1. Open the expected category in Apple Health and check “Data Sources & Access.”

  2. Check Apple Health privacy settings to confirm that SlopeReady can read this category.

  3. If you want to review a session, inspect the workout record itself rather than only activity rings or daily totals.
